Maximizing Human Potential: The Feuerstein Method

This one hour presentation will provide participants with an overview of the Feuerstein Method, including its foundational theories, research, and courses offered for certification. It will inculde a basic understanding of the following:
- Theory of Structural Cognitive Modifiability
- Mediated Learning Experience
- Role of Cognitive Functions in Learning
- Neuroplasticity of the Brain
- Levels of Training
Dr. Jeanne Zehr completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of St. Francis and her Master's Degree and Doctorate Degree at Indiana University. Her research on "Changing Belief Systems of Teachers" was honored as Dissertation of the Year. As the Founder of The MINDCAP Center in Fort Wayne, she directed both training and clinical services using the Feuerstein Method to over 500 children and adults who exhibit a myriad of cognitive challenges and diagnoses. This unique thinking skills program was birthed out of the Holocaust by Prof. Reuven Feuerstein. who ingenuously created a dynamic method for helping teens who had survived the concentration camps to recover their thinking skills and to thrive.
A Certificate of Attendance can be provided upon request.
PLD/SE membership is required for CPDU credits. Members who attend the live presentation can receive 1.5 CPDUs for this program.
